The social emotional development of young children is tied to outcomes in health, education, economic success and racial equity. Promoting social emotional development and intervening early is a simple and effective way to impact these outcomes. This presentation will review how social emotional screens can be part of this effort, strategies for implementing screening, and considerations for New York’s public health stakeholders.
