There are two types of Meningitis vaccines recommended by the CDC - MenACWY and MenB - however, uptake of the MenB vaccine is significantly lower than MenACWY. One reason for that is that many physicians are not discussing it with their patients. This presentation will educate public health professionals on current gaps in Meningitis vaccination practices, and best practices for closing those gaps - as told by Patti Wukovits, a nurse and advocate who lost her daughter to Meningitis B in 2012.
