Hello!
I am the ARGC from the Ohio Public Health Association (OPHA), a position I took over from Nancy Shapiro (past COA chairperson) after the 2014 APHA annual meeting. I have been a member of OPHA and APHA since my graduate school days in the early 1990s.
My interests are in environmental public health, social justice, public health nursing, public health infrastructure, and public health advocacy. I am a PHAB site visitor and was lucky to be the accreditation coordinator for the Delaware (Ohio) General Health District, which was accredited in March 2014.
I am a nurse, and my graduate degrees are in nursing, public health, and health administration. I am a member of the Public Health Nursing, Environmental Health, and Community Health Planning &Policy Development sections. I also am a member of the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments and the League of Women Voters.
I hope I get the chance to meet and work with all of you from the wonderful APHA affiliates!
