Ms. Sarah A. Rines, BS


Bio

Sarah Rines has served as the Communications Program Manager at the MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence since 2016. Her work focuses on connecting and amplifying tobacco treatment and prevention messages from CTI across the state of Maine. Sarah is active in the public health community, participating in many statewide health initiatives, including on the Maine Public Health Board of Directors. Prior to joining CTI, Sarah oversaw the statewide Breathe Easy Coalition of Maine promote smoke-free environments and as the District Tobacco Coordinator with Healthy Maine Partnerships in western Maine. She is a 2006 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s of science degree in human biology and biochemistry.



In addition to serving as the Council of Affiliates Chair-Elect, Past-President and ARGC for the Maine Public Health Association Board, Sarah participates in many statewide health initiatives including serving on the board of directors of the Maine Cancer Foundation and on numerous other public health and professional associations.  Sarah lives in Portland with her husband, Tim, and enjoys swimming, cycling, being outdoors, and is an avid New England sports fan.
