I am a seasoned public health educator and college professor who can develop and disseminate effective health promotion materials/health information campaigns and manage complex projects and events. For the last ten years, I have served as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Health Studies at American University in Washington, D.C. where I teach public health and health promotion classes for undergraduates. My experience includes work in tobacco control, college health, obesity prevention, HIV/AIDS, Medicare Part D/ACA outreach, and swimming/aquatic health. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about health promotion for teens and young adults. I am the Immediate Past President of the Maryland Public Health Association and have served on the board for the last seven years. Additionally, I am a certified wellness coach and enjoy working with clients in the Washington, D.C. area and virtually.
